Returning a phone will not relieve you from liability for payment of any amounts owed to your carrier.

Samsung Mobile Take-Back eCyclingsm Program
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS. BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS PROGRAM, YOU ARE INDICATING THAT YOU HAVE READ AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS WILL SUPPLEMENT THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ANY APPLICABLE OVERRIDING SIGNED AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU AND SAMSUNG (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, SAMSUNG'S STANDARD KEY CUSTOMER PURCHASE AGREEMENT) OR, IN THE ABSENCE OF SUCH AN AGREEMENT, SAMSUNG'S STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE.

Samsung’s Mobile Take-Back Program provides a way for consumers to recycle certain Samsung handset equipment and accessories.
Customer Responsibilities:

  • Before you mail your mobile device to Samsung, you are responsible for discontinuing the carrier service for your mobile device or having it transferred to another mobile device.
  • You are responsible for any outstanding amounts owed to your carrier at the time you return your mobile device.
  • You are responsible for completely discharging your mobile device’s battery.
  • You are responsible for mailing the mobile devices to the correct address.
  • Once mailed, mobile devices and/or accessories will not be returned to you.
  • You will ensure that the material mailed is only Samsung handsets and no other mobile device or materials.
  • NOTICE REGARDING CUSTOMER DATA:  You are responsible for all confidential data that may be stored on the mobile device. Before you mail the mobile device for recycling, you are responsible for: (a) deleting the data on the mobile device and any other storage devices in the mobile device; (b) backing up or transferring any data prior to deletion; and (c) removing any removable product that you do not want to return, such as accessories, earplugs and chargers. Samsung does not accept liability for lost or confidential data or returned removable products.
  • NO CONTAMINATED MOBILE DEVICE:  This service is not intended for mobile devices that are or have become contaminated or suspected of being contaminated with chemicals, biological agents or other substances that are not integral to the original new equipment or otherwise associated with normal office or household environments. Mobile devices and accessories that may be contaminated must be decontaminated prior to recycling. Samsung does not offer decontamination services.

If you fail to comply with any of these terms and conditions, then Samsung is not obligated to recycle the mobile device or accessories. In addition, the US Postal Service may refuse shipment and you may incur additional fees.

Warranty
SAMSUNG MAKES NO WARRANTY WITH RESPECT TO THIS SERVICE AND DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. YOU MAY HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON WARRANTIES, SO THE LIMITATIONS IN THIS PARAGRAPH MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.


Limitation of Liability
SAMSUNG DOES NOT ACCEPT LIABILITY FOR ANY LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THIS PROGRAM, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS OR OTHER CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY CLAIM BY ANY THIRD PARTY.
General:
