JOIN SAMSUNG IN TACKLING AUTISM THIS FALL IN SUPPORT OF THE DAN MARINO FOUNDATION

Samsung’s Four Seasons of Hope teams up with Five Regional Retail Partners this Fall to raise funds for the Dan Marino Foundation

 

RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J., Sept. 30, 2009 – Samsung’s Four Seasons of Hope, a goodwill program supporting community-based foundations and charities headed by some of this country's most respected sports legends, will team up with regional retail partners P.C. Richard & Son, American TV, hhgregg, Conn’s and Fred Meyer to offer a portion of sales to the Dan Marino Foundation from all Samsung products sold during their in-store and online promotions.

Founded in 1992, The Dan Marino Foundation supports medical research, treatment and outreach programs for children with chronic illnesses and developmental disabilities. The Foundation has raised more than $22 million to provide these programs and services that have benefited hundreds of thousands of children and their families. Since 2004, Dan Marino and his foundation have been a part of Samsung’s Four Season of Hope philanthropic initiative.

“Since teaming up five years ago, Dan Marino has become an icon in Samsung’s Four Seasons of Hope program,” said Tim Baxter co-president of the Consumer Electronics division at Samsung Electronics America, Inc. “We are honored to work with such a first-class athlete and philanthropist and we look forward to joining forces with our regional retail partners in supporting the Dan Marino Foundation’s dedication to providing treatment programs and the latest medical breakthroughs to children who need it most.”

About The Dan Marino Foundation

The Dan Marino Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides integrated treatment programs, outreach services and research of chronic illnesses and developmental disabilities in children. Since the organization was established more than 14 years ago, it has built the Miami Children’s Hospital Dan Marino Center in Weston, FL, which is now recognized both nationally and internationally for its ability to provide the finest integrative care for children with autism.
