Jordan Pruitt
Official spokesperson for Samsung's 2008 Hope for Education

When it comes to music, Jordan Pruitt is a monumentally talented singer/songwriter with maturity far beyond her 16 years. As her 2007 Hollywood Records debut CD "No Ordinary Girl" shows, Jordan has the chops to command the youth audience of today and a wide range of audiences for many tomorrows to come.

"No Ordinary Girl" reflects the world as seen through Jordan’s eyes. "Outside Looking In" has already proven the case. In the song, Jordan examines the typical teen phenomenon of feeling left out and turns it into a deeply reflective acoustic-flavored masterwork. "I felt so left out," she says of earlier experiences in school. "I started writing it when I was in the sixth grade.” Before its official release, the track had already garnered more than a million spins on Jordan's MySpace music page: www.myspace.com/jordanpruitt   Meanwhile the video version, shot at L.A.'s famed University High, captures all of the song's inherent drama. The track was also featured in the Disney Channel's made-for-television film "Read It And Weep.”

In 2006 and 2007, Jordan has had a total of four music videos featured on the Disney Channel and her songs have garnered extensive airplay on Radio Disney. Additionally, she was a Guest Star on “All My Children” and her songs “Outside Looking In” and “My Reality” were heard on the hit MTV Show “The Hills”. On the touring front, Jordan has hit the road for a national tour, opening for the Cheetah Girls and Vanessa Hudgens. Following that tour, Jordan was the opening act for the sold-out 40 city American tour of High School Musical: The Concert. Continuing on, she has toured with Corbin Bleu, Drake Bell, Plain White Tees, and The Jonas Brothers as well as headlining several Shows herself. In the Summer and Fall of 2008, she has an extensive Tour schedule that includes performances in virtually every area of the USA.

She recently performed at the International AIDS Conference at Pastor Rick Warren’s (“Purpose Driven Life” Author) Saddleback Church in Southern California. There, she performed her newest song “Celebrate Love” from the Disney Channel Holiday CD, which reflects her faith and her love for Christmas. She’s now in the final stages of writing and recording her second album for Disney’s Hollywood Records, scheduled for a Summer 2008 release. Jordan is especially pleased with her latest work. “Making this album is the most fun I’ve had in my entire life! I’m so excited about these new songs, each one is so incredible. My fans are going to love them!”

Hailing from Loganville, Georgia, Jordan began singing at age 4 -- no surprise, as her father was a worship and song leader at the family's church. "I was singing with my Dad's band at 10, harmonizing with them. That's when he knew this was going to be something bigger." In the years to come, Jordan sang before audiences ranging from a few thousand to the tens of thousands, at venues such as Centennial Olympic Park, Stone Mountain, Six Flags Over Georgia and The Fox Theater. Jordan soon found herself in a studio in Nashville, Tennessee and signed to Hollywood Records. That prompted a family move to Nashville.

With so much happening in her life and career, it's fair to ask how the 16-year-old handles it all. Her answer is simple: "I've got amazing people around me," says Jordan. "People always tell me to keep my head on straight and to keep working hard to constantly improve my craft. Well, I have my family, my friends, my faith and all the terrific people I work with to help me do that. With my music, I'm not saying I'm going to change the world. But I'm going to continually try to be the best role model possible and to write and sing songs that mean something to people, whereby they get encouragement and joy from listening." Jordan Pruitt. No ordinary girl. No ordinary artist. An Extraordinary journey….
