Samsung and its partners are asking teachers to participate in its annual contest to address a key academic challenge in our country: increase the pursuit of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education. With Samsung and schools joining together, we can foster student interest in these subjects and illustrate the power of applying that knowledge to practical, real-world issues. Click here to apply.
By filling out the application, you will be entered in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow contest. Up to 255 teachers will be chosen to create their vision for this program, and then 51 teachers will be chosen to have their classes create videos addressing the challenge, "Show how STEM can be applied to help your local community." All 51 chosen teachers will receive a video creation kit to help complete the task. These 51 teachers’ schools will win at least $20,000* in technology grants for their school. The top 15 videos will be voted on by consumers, select Samsung employees, and a panel of education experts. Five grand finalists will be invited to an awards ceremony to celebrate with education thought leaders and celebrity supporters. Samsung is asking teachers to answer the challenge, “Show how STEM can be applied to help your local community?”
